Cookies we use
We run a number of different services and web sites for our clients. These include public web sites, informational sites, panel and community sites, surveys, and our survey code (installed directly into client web sites).
We use cookies for various purposes in these areas. The list below highlights the key different areas from a cookie perspective. Please read each section to see the cookies that we set, and why. All cookies are used in accordance with relevant Data Protection and Privacy legislation and best practice.
Cookies are a simple mechanism, integral to the way the web works, allowing web site operators to 'remember' you across each page you view in your visit/session. They do not allow access to any information on your computer, cannot be used to identify who you are or where you live, and cannot enable any kind of virus or trojan activity.
You can choose whether or not your web browser software should accept cookies - most browsers do by default. If you wish to instruct your browser to reject cookies (or to ask you first) you can do this in your browser's settings. There are instructions for most common browsers here.
Please also note that every web site we manage has a special page at "/static/cookies" where cookie information specific to that site is displayed. E.g. on our public web site this is at http://public.edigitalresearch.com/cookies. These pages will also tell you what cookies you have on that site.
